Mimis life long interest in the decorative arts and attunement to natural and
botanical forms attain a lovely balance of the visual and tactile in her designs. A
unique blending of color relationships with texture and refined sculptural elements
define her modern, yet organic style.
While a jeweler and model maker for a prestigious New York fine jewelry
manufacturer, Mimi expanded the skills she acquired from a degree in Metals from
Rochester Institute of Technology. Through the melding of two distinctive jewelry
making approaches over two decades of fine craftmanship, Mimi continues the
special tradition of the studio jeweler.
Mimi designs and crafts every piece of Favre jewelry. Many are one-of-a-kind
creations. All of the elements that comprise each original design are hand-
fabricated or begin as wax carvings and are then reproduced, including the
distinctive signature clasps and settings that complete her pieces. Mimi works
primarily in 18k gold with gemstones and pearls that she carefully selects for quality
and visual appeal.
